We want your stories!

Enter the Ilisaqsivik Writing Contest. We'll be giving away prizes (Ilisaqsivik Society t-shirts) to one winner each in the six - 10 age category, as well as the 11 - 12 age category, each month. We'll post the prize-winning stories here, too.

Each month we celebrate a different theme. In April 2002, it's dogsledding, because of the big Nunavut Quest dog team race Clyde River-to-Pond Inlet. Tell us about any spills and thrills you've encountered while out dogsledding! Or send us a story about a dog you have known.

Stories should be no longer than 500 words. E-mail us your story by April 30, 2002, including your name, age, e-mail address and mailing address, so that we can send you your prize. Ask for your parents' permission first to send us a story, and be sure to include your parent's e-mail address. This is important because if you win, we will be posting your story online and we need to make sure that this is okay with your parents.
